I can sympathize

This door is old and creaky but it still works, serves a function and is somewhat appealing. I turned 53 today.

In some people's book that is still young, in some's book it's ancient. Do you remember when you were a kid and you thought people in their thirties were really old? No? Me neither.

I like being this age. It feels like there is a whole lot of living left to do. Traditionally I've posted sp's on my birthday but I've had my mind occupied by some app writing software that is so complicated that it sucked me in and kept me captivated for hours and hours.

Some wonderful baked goods were made for me, all so delicious, many cards, emails; a girl can get to feeling quite spoiled.
