Porokamppa

Of all the huts on all the fells in Ylläs, this is our favourite. Nestled into the crook of the banana-shaped Aakenustunturi, it is also one of the hardest to get to. Inside it is very small, with just enough room for a sitting/sleeping platform and a fire in the corner. Not somewhere that I would particularly choose to spend the night, given that we have a nice hot sauna awaiting us at the end of each day, but a welcome stop for a drink and a bite before starting the ski back.
