Electric

Electricity is a bit like a good pair of wellies - I don't know where we'd be without it.

A lot of essentials run on electricity - the oven, the fridge and, of course, the kettle!

But I think we'd be ok without those things for a little while.

What we couldn't live without for even a second are life's other essentials - the gadgets. Our laptops, phones, tablets and iPods all need to be charged with electricity on a seemingly constant basis.

I think we could live without a cup of tea for a little while. But a second without Facebook? Unthinkable!

Now, where did I leave my phone charger...
