Peewit

I still remember in the 60's my father pointing out a "peewit" in a field and said to me find out as much information about it as I could knowing only too well that I would struggle to find out information under that name. Of course information had to come from books in those days but the most difficult thing for me was that no book listed such a bird. All was well after noticing the remarkable likeness of a peewit to a lapwing!
