The bad news and the good news

Some of you will recall that Mrs. K had a week in hospital last August when a gallbladder stone blocked a duct and caused an infection.

Since the she has seen the Consultant and agreed to have her gallbladder removed.

Unfortunately yesterday evening and during the night another stone moved and was causing great pain. I drove her in to Accident and Emergency early this morning and we were in the hospital for ten hours.

By 4p.m. they did another MRI scan which shows that the stone had gone through.
The good news is that they may be able to do the surgery tomorrow. Its 50/50 depending on emergency cases. But if not tomorrow the in the fairly near future. Certainly I hope before the NHS gets overwhelmed by the virus.

It will be good for her to be rid of this pesky gallbladder. And we were never great fans of the Rolling Stones.
