The best laid plans...

The plan was to take the boys on a nice 7mile circular at the Falls of Clyde followed by lunch and some shopping in a couple of the lovely garden centres in the Clyde Valley.

What actually happened was halfway around the walk Blue chased 2 ducks into the Clyde and got caught in the strong current. As you can imagine the next 5-10mins were pretty awful. Thankfully he managed to get himself caught up in some fallen branches not too far from shore and Sandy was able to go in and pull him to safety. I was a bit further down from the branches ready to jump in if he got swept away again - thankfully it didn’t come to that. It’s a badass river!

Then, after all the drama we still had to walk another 3 miles or so to get back to the car poor Sandy was squelching the whole way and was thoroughly soaked and pretty cold too. Needless to say it was straight back home - what a shock!
