Old Burial Ground

Our weather has changed. The sun remains, but there is a brisk chill in the air with temps in the low 40s F. Today I went for a short walk in one of my favorite places in Wilmington, Airlie Gardens. Behind a chapel in the woods lies a small historic cemetery. I don't normally like cemeteries much, but I loved the light here and the old fence, with its shadows on the tombstones. It appears that the buried were victims of the American civil war between the states. In the south, I have learned that the civil war has been called "The War of Northern Aggression".
