Another day another ferry

Every year when Luke visits the US consulate in Belfast to get his visa for the summer, I say that I wish I could go with him. This year, I finally made it!

I caught the National Express bus from Dumfries which connects with the super fast Stena Line ferry at Cairnryan. It takes 2 hours 15 mins to cross the 40 odd miles of sea to Belfast Port. Here I am looking down from the top deck.

Luke and I had a nice afternoon together, just wandering around the city. We visited the Botanic Gardens and a coffee shop. It went far too fast :-(

After I'd seen him off on his journey home to Edinburgh, I went to the cinema to see "Emma" which was a real feast. Those costumes! That soundtrack! Bill Nighy!

Titanic tomorrow...
