Three Trees

The fine weather continues and temperatures were very pleasant at the day's end. I spotted the white birch tree from a distance and liked the way it contrasted with the foreground darker tree branches. Beyond the birch a third tree was also caught by the sunshine.

I like the pattern of light and shade which gives the scene dimension and the darker foreground helps to frame the birch. Being the lightest element the white tree attracts the eye, but I hope it's small enough in the image to not dominate.
