Common Goldeneye.

After lunch today we decided to tempt fate and go for a walk along the canal. Last time we did this we got thoroughly soaked!
It was quite windy but the usual swans and ducks were still lurking there looking for breadcrumbs. I suspect quite a few people feed them. 
Then I spotted something a bit different - this little diving duck popped up - literally - in front of us. He vanished again before I could get the camera zoomed in on him and surfaced a good ten yards further away. So inconsiderate!
Otherwise, it’s been a day of dodging the showers and the crowds. This bug is becoming rather serious. Stay well and safe, Blippers!
