Milton Art Gallery

We had intended a visit to the Milton Brasserie today, but there was a function and it was very crowded. We decided to change plan and went to Woodend Barn instead.

Before leaving I managed a photo of the Milton Art Gallery. Until a couple of weeks ago this building also housed a gift and clothes shop. This closed as the operator has retired, so half the building is now empty. The Milton Craft Village is a shadow of its former self, and apart from the cafe/restaurant only the art gallery remains.

The Art Gallery is a popular stopping off place for admiring the work of mainly local artists. The work on show is mostly priced beyond what I would pay. Prints are available at more achievable prices, but a print is not the same as an original.

With the somewhat tenuous excuse of visiting art galleries as a "favourite pastime", I have tagged this for the Wide Wednesday" challenge.
