Autumn Rose

Back Blip from Akaora

I had a lovely morning with my cousin and her husban. We all went out for lunch for her birthday. Then I made my way to Akaroa.

There were lot of big signs before getting to Akaroa banning all watering of out door plants because to the water shortage. Akaroa and surrounding areas all get their water supply from streams. Here is a link about the Level 4 water restrictions for parts of Banks Peninsula.

I am sure I will lose a few plants because of the dry conditions. Mostly the Azaleas and Rhododendrons. All most bedding plants. The older plants have deep root systems so they may be OK.
