An ordinary life....

BODMAS!

Backblipped

Thankfully S felt much better today so was back in the thick of things.

As I was making breakfast L set Anna some maths work, a full page of sums.  She did really well, getting all but one right.

After breakfast this resulted in the adults having a conversation about the maths techniques and formulas we were taught in school, and before you could say pi r squared, Lewa had set David some complicated maths tasks which David solved without any problem, but in a different way from how L had been taught.  Much hilarity ensued as they argued over the best way to work.  Who knew maths could be so much fun?!

As the weather brightened, S and L took the girls up to Gleneagles to feed the swans, then down town for lunch.

D and I had lunch here then I had a snooze.  A broken night's sleep and keeping up with two energetic young girls takes it toll!  :-))

After dinner and an amusing evening with the girls, who's ability to make me laugh knows no bounds (Anna also brought a tear to my eye by singing a hauntingly beautiful song in Gaelic) it was time for the girls to go to bed.  Both were shattered so went willingly with their dad and by all accounts  Faith was asleep within minutes.  He left Anna reading her book and came downstairs and plugged in the monitor.

He then went to the living room to watch the football D had recorded for him, whilst S and I settled down to watch Liar.  Half an hour later he went back upstairs to check on the girls and came back down stairs puzzled as to why he could hear the tv so clearly in their room.  Turns out he'd got the monitor bits back to front and plugged in the sensor downstairs and the speaker upstairs!  I thought I would pass out laughing as the penny dropped!

Thankfully the girls were fine!  lol
