Night Nav

I tried my best to provide night nav training to Watton Explorers tonight in Panshanger Park. They’re an apathetic lot and despite the fact that most of the ones who came are doing DofE, they don’t seem very keen to learn micro navigation. I jazzed it up and turned it onto an Easter Egg hunt, but it was still had work with some of them. One girl, who’s a direct entrant to Gold DofE through her school, told me she’d already learned everything about navigation at school. When I asked where they’d gone to practice she replied ‘the school field’. Oh dear!
