I wish to complain...

Mrs Soup is not happy. We bought a fridge freezer from John Lewis in November. When it was delivered we noticed that the fridge door was not quite straight, so Mrs Soup called JL to ask for it to be fixed/replaced. Several months later - following several phone calls and a letter from Mrs S, and one attempt to deliver an identically wonky replacement by JL - we were pretty fed-up.

JL's complaint handling is farcical.

So today an "adjusted" replacement was due to be delivered. Mrs Soup had asked what the "adjustment" was, but an answer was beyond anyone at JL. We got up early, as the delivery was due between 7am and 1pm. At about 8:15 we had a call from the chap who fixes appliances at JL (the one we were not allowed to speak to and who was not allowed to speak to us). He explained how the top door hinge could be slightly eased and that this should straighten the door - 30 seconds later I had fixed the door!

Odd how a 30 second fix had taken 3 months.

Mrs Soup is considering the best was to make her feelings known to the chief executive.
