Silly o'clock shopping

We missed our regular Friday grocery run because we were at the hospital,  and boy am I glad!!!
When the governor of Michigan announced all the schools would be closed for several weeks,  people went nuts.
The shelves were empty by the time we could have gone last night.
Luckily, I'm married to a grocery genius who knows the schedule of delivery trucks.  We decided to shop very early this morning.
There were boxes of goods in every aisle waiting to be stocked onto the shelves.   The store was full of workers, but not customers, when we arrived.
By the time we finished shopping the store was getting busier by the minute.
We bought enough  to keep us home for a week or so,  which is difficult when most of what we eat is fruit and vegetables.
As we left the store, this beautiful sunrise was glowing over the local
supermarket.
Thankfully everyone was kind and thoughtful and we even saw an old friend,  which was very nice.
But I feel very sorry for the people working in the store to keep up with the mass quantities.
