Church of Nature

Glorious sunshine for a walk in the woods at Princeton Battleground and the Institute Woods with my hiking group. I saw first flowers (buttercups, I think), tree buds, and first leaves on the wild roses. It was such beautiful weather. We finally found the suspension bridge and had a great time exploring, getting lost, finding our way, and more exploring. That’s what I like about this group. Nobody cares that we don’t know where we are going. We always find the way, a way. And it’s great fun. In case you might think we are irresponsible, we always have a map and the preserves here in New Jersey are not big enough to get truly lost, but there are so many trails in a small area that it is easy to get confused when they are not well-marked. More challenging that way.
