At Frohring Meadows the redwing blackbirds and song sparrows sang away the grayness of the afternoon in crisp air.  Mallards fed in the pond and herons flew overhead.  Other than stopping to pet a couple of dogs and greet a few passing walkers, the solitude was exquisite. A nice long walk.  A happy day!
