Bob having a breather

Bob the bike and I biked to Haswell Quarry today. We took in some small hills. Afterwards Bob needed a breather against the cafe caravan at the quarry.

I had coffee and looked forward to a mostly tailwind ride home. It never works out quite like that. Somehow the last 10km was mostly headwind most ways.

55kms all up and that headwind kept me honest.

Today's gratitude: For a long ride. I had space to distance myself for a while from the uncharted territory of covid-19 and the first anniversary of the mosque shootings. Perspective is restored.
