Derelict Plum Tree

We have had problems with the plum crop these last couple of years, and Mrs W suspected that it had some disease or another.  So we decided that it would have to go, which will make more room for the apple tree when we move it.
 
Our suspicions were not unfounded as there are signs of rot in the trunk starting from the top down.  Showing in the shot of the sawn off trunk is a small circle, which is over half the diameter of the trunk at the top.
 
Anyway, I guess this poor old plumb tree must be derelict enough for a Sunday.
