Aysgarth Falls

After a late night, maybe it was a mistake not to set an alarm clock?! Our early start from Huddersfield was a little later than intended, but no matter! After croissants and coffee, we finished packing our bags, said goodbye to J and S, and headed for home. MrM drove us up through the Dales, and we couldn't resist stopping at Aysgarth Falls, where we had a pleasant walk by the river to the three viewing stations - it's part of the upper fall in the Blip. Called in to the shop at  Reeth for sandwiches, which we ate at a lay-by with a view. Then, sadly, time continue our journey.

Back in time for a snack before MrM left for his gig, playing at a birthday party. I had a quieter evening, mostly unpacking.

We learned on the way back that MrM's gig for tomorrow has been cancelled, as has the Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering, where we were due to have a trade stall next month. I fear that this is just the start. It could be a lean year...
