Not enough eggs in one basket

It seems that my extensive shopping (stockpiling) every day last week was not sufficiently focused on eggs. We ended Saturday with 40 eggs in the house, and are now down to 15. We should have bought more hens. (They have produced nothing to help the family egg crisis despite being stuffed with all the good food, and some earwigs TallGirl found for them. They will be getting some firm stares, and possibly some recipes for poule au pot left around their enclosure tomorrow. Time to step up, girls.)

Today was day one in the “Four work from home together” House and tensions are already high. Will Mr B continue to be allowed to occupy the kitchen and frown at people who use it for ‘kitchen things’? Will TallGirl continue to complain about the lack of work she is being sent? Will CarbBoy get over Macron telling him he cannot go and ‘hang out’ with his mates in town on Wednesday afternoon? And, most importantly, will the gardener show up on Wednesday?

TallGirl’s school has rationed (by time slots) access time to their on-line system, which has TG calmer. Let’s see if anyone sticks to it.

The contrast between leaders of nations speaking today has been quite stark. They say that if, afterwards, people say you overreacted, then you probably got it right. I’m irritated about the changes this brings but, as someone in one of those vulnerable groups who this could easily finish off, I prefer overreaction to the other option.
