The beginning....

My amaryllis is at the stage of growing about an inch over night.....but it's still got a ways to go before i get to see those breathtaking flowers!

Another damn cold day here.....-18 and so i've begun my exercise indoors! I bought an elliptical machine a couple of years ago, and i used it quite faithfully for awhile, it lived in the studio so it was easy to access. I'm not working in the studio for the time being so we brought the beast over to the house and now it's become a very unattractive piece furniture in our main large living space! But from where i work out i can watch the birds at the bird feeder, the trees and of course the snow! but i also caught sight of these two buds snuggled together!

Seriously on a weight loss thingie...don't want to call it a diet, just trying to be more conscious of what i eat and take care of the over indulges of the past few months. With only 9 weeks till i have to bear it all on the beaches of Cuba, i have good motivation! we'll see!
