The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

Poppy to the rescue!

I returned from the Christmas holidays with the pattern and yarn for this fairisle beret.

My sister, after three attempts, had given up on the knitting project. Each time she completed an inch or so, was dissatisfied with the result, undid it, and started again.

At the speed I complete knitting projects there was a danger neither my sister nor I would be around long enough to enjoy the cosiness of this hat. But luckily I know a skilled knitter who completes fairisle hats at lightening speed. I brought the tattered knitting bag back home. And lo and behold..... A beautiful job completed and two very happy sisters.

Thank you Poppy!
