I'm apparently silly...well according to saying

Why do they say silly as a coot? The ones I have watched over the years when I go fishing are pretty smart. I have watched them swim around the lake and when they come opposite a fisherman they will dive in that area until they come across any bait that has been put out. They are also quite cunning and turn up when they think you aren't watching
