A folly...

Interesting little folly that I don’t think I’ve blipped before.
I can’t remember the whole story of who built it and why but assume it was Frederick Lukis because it is in the grounds (now carpark) of Lukis House where he was born and died. He was an archeologist, naturalist, collector and antiquarian. 
Lukis a House used to be the lair of the School Dentist. Just those words will bring fear into the hearts of many who were children in Guernsey...
