for abstract Thursday.
S.M. opening 7a.m. for us golden oldies was no help today, getting up just before 8 (one of us) and after 8 the other, so we decided to go to the farm shop about 30 mins. away. What an oasis of cultured calm, bought lovely fresh fish (expensive but we can't have coffee out), fresh vegetables, eggs, PASTA, bread and I was really surprised when approaching till to see frozen peas next to the ice-cream cabinet as I didn't expect them to stock these and I could not get any earlier in the week.
Also surprised as the bag was the really large one which our S.M. does not stock in fact I assumed they had stopped doing them but think its the usual scenario, size has to fit their space. Tedwin got the essentials, packet of almond fingers and a huge lemon drizzle cake - have just started it and noticed the use by date of 22nd March - we are going to be stuffed, cannot hold a coffee morning for friends.
We then carried on to a garden centre, as it was raining the place was almost empty and I knew where all three items were so quickly collected and paid and had help getting the heavy trolley to the car and off loaded. All that is still in the car no hurry cannot use it yet.

P.S. The farm shop is offering a service to people self-isolating but able to drive. Ring them with your requirements, pay, drive there and they bring goods out to your vehicle.
