Sign of the times ....

We passed one of our community notice boards as we headed up to the moors behind Pitlochry. It is usually full of upcoming local events but gradually over the past week or so all that has been added is cancelled notices as different groups realise the importance of falling government advice on social distancing.

We enjoyed a grand walk going off piste and linking one walk with an another by tramping through the heather. It was good.

Near the start we passed (taking care to move away) a mother out with her three children. I had seen them earlier in the week and on both occassions the eldest child was walking with a hankerchief over her mouth which I found so sad. 

The forthcoming days (and weeks) will be strange - in some respect the activities are planning are those which I was intending to do in my retirement. However there are two big differences - no local getogethers (at least in person) and no travelling to new places or to see family & friends. The later will be the hardest but thank goodness for technology.
