Staddle Stones

This is a slightly unusual use for "staddle stones" which here are supporting a shed part way round my circuit. (3.63km. 42 mins. average 5.2 km/h). I first came across them in Cornwall where they are, more usually used, for supporting hay bales. But I guess they serve the same function. According to Wikipedia:

"Staddle stones (variations include steddle stones ) were originally used as supporting bases for granaries, hayricks, game larders, etc. The staddle stones lifted the granaries above the ground thereby protecting the stored grain from vermin and water seepage".
