the old school

For grade six I attended Cowichan Station elementary school. At the time the school had a pitched roof. Many years later the roof was replaced with a flat one. The school lost some of its character.

The one hundred year old school is closed now. It has become part of community development plan and it is called the Hub. The pitched roof is back on the school. It looks great.

I have fond memories of Mrs. McIntosh, the principal, who had us parading on sports day to the Colonel Bogey March (She used a long extension cord and a record player).
