Self-isolation?

Time to break out of total isolation, we delivered some stuff to our younger Flums - some activity books for the Flumlet to use over the next five months, and Burtons' chocolate biscuits to Miss Flum. We were very careful, of course, leaving the items on their doorstep and having a conversation from the front garden. At Miss Flum's this included her neighbour as we all stood in the street, chatting in the sunshine.

We left to take our picnic to Longniddry Bents, where (main pic) this chap set up his tripod, perhaps looking at (extra 1) two passenger ships, Black Watch (left) and Balmoral (right), at anchor. As there was little space to walk there we moved on for the expanse of sand at Yellowcraig, bumping into friends from our U3A group so, at the recommended distance, we caught up with events - similarly self-isolating, they are both retired from the medical profession and had more insight on the current situation.

On our wandering towards the Eastern end of the beach we found common starfish, big fat ones, all washed up - not one or two, but hundreds, on the sand and most stuck among the rocks (extra 2)  - a sad sight but the birds were grateful for the feast.

It was so good to be out in the sunshine, making the most of it before we are not allowed out.
