Red deer

When out walking this afternoon, I noticed a small herd of red deer grazing on a hillock some distance from the road. It wasn't long before they became aware that they were being watched so we stared at each other for a few minutes. They must have decided that I wasn't a threat to them as they soon returned to munching the yellow grass. They greyer hind in the extras is obviously pregnant. It's interesting to see the difference in coat colour between her and the younger hind.
