Pentlands

We decided to go for a walk in the Pentlands this afternoon after popping in to Sainsbury’s for a few things. The shop was decimated with few vegetables, hardly any meat, staple stuff like butter, rice and pasta, and no toilet rolls. We got some stuff but no potatoes; very odd. Apparently it was rammed this morning and despite restrictions it was largely cleaned out. We had a good walk from Bonaly up to Capelaw Hill where this panorama was taken looking to the what I think of as the main ridge from Turnhouse Hill to the Kips. It snowed shortly after from a largely clear sky so that was a bit surreal. We went into Tesco in Oxgangs on the way back and got some potatoes so that was good. There the booze aisles were devastated so I guess people aren’t off to pubs so much.
