1886 Bowral Municipal Mayoral Chains

Spent some time reliving the history of the Southern Highlands today. These beautiful Mayoral Chains from 1886 were from the Municipality of Bowral, a Local Government area that disappeared in 1981 with the merger of Mittagong, Bowral and Wingecarribee Council areas into one Local Government Area still know today as Wingecarribee Shire Council.

The crest of Bowral Municipality included 2 Kookaburras facing the shield with a white arrow, cows head, dividers.

Great piece of local history
