Two Weeks In

Well, that's two weeks of pretty much solid working from home. Still getting used to the routine, need to get a bit more fresh air and daylight but in reality those are 1st world problems in comparison to some. Annie does this all the time, of course.

Immy has joined us tonight, she's back from university and unsure if she will ever go back to York to study again as next term would be her last there before moving into a placement year in September. She doesn't know if she'll be taking exams and if so, what form they will take. Unsettling times for anyone at that stage of their studies.

The only photo I took today, out the bottom of the garden. In my mind I was thinking "28 Days Later", imagining how much more overgrown this view could get in the coming months if no one comes and tends the old (disused) chapel grounds as usually happens. Could get interestingly overgrown as it has in the past.

Stay safe everyone.

Edit (July 2020): Today the serious nature of what lockdown could be really starts to sink in. Boris Johnson orders all pubs, cafes, restaurants, bars and gyms to close (which at least gives them some financial cover as it was a government order). The chancellor also announces that the taxpayer will meet 80 per cent of the wages of employees temporarily sent home from firms hit by the crisis - known as furloughing.
