Soap Opera

"Eine Seifenoper" in German.  

These are the shelves that normally have soap on them.  Lots of soap.  But the Great Unwashed have taken it upon themselves to panic buy everything and perhaps even wash with the stuff.

I'm getting fed up with this.  The advice to calm down, be sensible and stop panic buying is obviously way too difficult for people to understand.  

And it's spreading.  Our local Netto was, until today, relatively calm.  Today the locusts arrived with cars and emptied the place.
