One Big Happy Family

The Oxalis is flowering! I love it's delicate little flowers. Oxalis is in a very large (approx. 570 species) genus of flowering plants in the Wood-Sorrel family. It's family members can be found thriving all across the globe, just not in the  polar areas. Sometimes called 'false shamrocks' because of their leaf shape or 'sourgrass'. When I was a child we would pull off it's leaves and suck on their stems which have a sour or acidic taste. Must not have been poisonous 'cause I'm still kickin'! ;)
Be safe and don't take any unnecessary chances! Be Well, my friends!
