Don't be fooled by this sweet looking Pussy Cat

It does look sweet, but you wouldn't get within 50 yards of it, nor would you want to. This is the famous Scottish Wildcat. The closest I got was to one that mated with a ferral cat and produced a long haired cross. It was about one and a half times the size of our normal cats. But it's claws were twice as big. In a gamekeepers house years ago it came into the room and promtley jumped onto my lap. Very friendly but it kept digging its long claws into my legs. Rather painful at the time. I just sat there until the keeper came in and said, Oh! you have met our tame wildcat. It was a relief to find out it was tame.
