Silver Woodland

When we first moved here nearly forty years ago, our walk here was mainly across moorland.  In the ensuing years the silver birches have turned it in to woodland.  Tony is busy preparing the allotment for vegetables so I took a walk, thankfully only seeing a handful of folks.  All of us passed by each other at a respectful distance but also exchanged pleasantries, a small sign of community spirit.

After lunch I spent some time raking out the dead vegetation from the mini meadow.  Hopefully it should soon start to grow and we will be able to see if our careful preparation last year worked!

Please heed government advice about social distancing, be safe and keep well.
