Live-streaming

With church services suspended during the corona virus pandemic, for the first time we had a service live-streamed by our Chairman Of Scotland and Shetland District - a process also new to him. We missed singing hymns but our choirmaster had sent a link to a YouTube performance of the chosen anthem for today, so later on we had a good sing.
At 7pm we put a lighted candle in the window as a sign of hope - firstly a wax church candle then, to spare having to sit and mind it, substituted a battery-powered one.
But it was also Mothering Sunday and a beautiful bouquet was delivered to the doorstep and a nice conversation with junior Flums held from the front garden, (so hard not to have a hug from the Flumlet) and a card, composed from a photo taken in her garden, arrived by email from Miss Flum, so I've printed that off.

In preparation for continued self-isolation I searched the attic for the knitted strips I had begun making some years back with the intention of making a blanket, to spend the time in joining them up. I couldn't find them but did find a box of red dinner candles - just the thing I was scouring the shops for before Christmas. It's an ill wind, and all that... .
