This isn't just any poet ....

Robert Burns used to visit and stay in Glasgow regularly.

There is a plaque at this spot in Argyle Street where he used to stay in the Black Bull Inn. Its now Marks & Spencer.

Its thought he may have written Ae Fond Kiss while staying here.

It occurred to me walking round Marks that Rabbie could have got everything he needed there - they have Haggis. Potatoes, Neeps, Whisky, Oatcakes etc. And I bet he would have loved their Walnut Whips!

Once again on this special day I'm looking forward to a dinner of Vegetarian Haggis with a whisky sauce.
