Sunday afternoon in Bridge of Allan

Normally on a sunny Sunday afternoon the area around Allan Water Bridge would be heaving with people. Today it was more or less deserted.

I had a quick walk in search of a photo. The only people out and about were  young  folk queuing  outside the Allanwater café, for takeaway fish and chips.

All the pubs and cafe were closed, as I would expect from our law-abiding community. Not so in Glasgow where Nicola Sturgeon is going to rush through legislation forbidding public socializing.

One surprise though was the Turkish barber. He seemed to be doing a brisk trade.

Those shops that are still open, like takeaways and pharmacies have notices in the window allowing people in one at a time.
Ciao, the trendy Italian, takeaway has a notice ( see extra) stating “ no cash payments”.
This assumes everyone is up to speed with contactless payments.

I think we are going to be seeing a lot more like this in the weeks ahead.
