Arkadia

Most apartment blocks around here are 4-6 storeys, rectangular and light coloured, perhaps with a splash of lime green or some decorative mesh. Arkadia is gloriously asymmetrical, curved and arched, made from dark recycled bricks and with two-storey high mouseholes between its four blocks. I could go on but it would sound like a real estate ad.

I was surprised to learn that it was built for defence personnel with half the apartments set aside for sale to the public.
