MonoMonday Challenge 322 - Manmade

We are in lockdown in Milan and rare to go out of the house.  The government has declared additional restrictive measures yesterday deemed necessary to control the spread of the Covid-19 disease.  Basically, any kind of free movement has been restricted and industry has been shutdown if not directly related to protecting the population in the fight against Covid-19.   We have passed two weeks now since the lockdown in Lombardy and subsequently two days later for all of Italy.  So, in theory we have turned the corner of the estimated fourteen day quarentine period in the Lombardy region.  The numbers of new infections and the deaths have been staggering.  Yesterday was the first slow down in both new cases and deaths.  I pray that it is the start of a recovery, but I remain realistic that there has still been a lot of movement and maybe spread within families with infected family members.

Man did not create the virus, but he will certainly make the solution.

Yesterday we took the kids down to the dead-end street in front of our door for another twenty minutes of fresh air.  It took a bit of convincing, but the sense of play finally won out and they ran around for a bit.  So, an extra photo to flip what could be perceived as a 'negative' feeling photo of the lock to a positive happy photo of the kids running. :)

Thanks to ApolloFly for hosting this month's challenge.
