Self-isolation DAY 3

Not very much to report today........................

Went to the park for my first thing in the morning walk. We don't normally do that because a lot of cyclists whiz through there on their bikes on their way to work between 7.30am-9am and it means I can't have run about time due to Ann stressing that I'm going to cause an accident. Today we didn't see one single speedy cyclist, though there were a few toddlers out practising on their bikes. Everywhere we go there seems to be toddlers out on bikes. It must be what the mummies and daddies have decided to teach them now the nurseries are closed?!

After breakfast I had to have snooze time in my bed while Ann did a YouTube fitness class. It's our new routine because Ann says that even though we're self isolating we have to have a routine. Yesterday's workout was a bit hard so she woke up aching this morning, so she did an easier one today.

Next it was out onto the balcony to sort out the pots and solar powered lighting. Apparently Ann is going to do at least one job a day that she's been putting off for ages. The only trouble is; she can't really justify jumping in the car and going to the garden centre to buy more plants because that's hardly 'essential travel'. So all we've got in our pots at the moment is a couple of ivys and a couple of lavender plants which we're not sure will survive for much longer. However one of Ann's friends phoned today and said she has three spare plants that we can have, so we will pick those up tomorrow on the morning dog walk. Thank you Fiona. She's going to leave them on her doorstep for us.

This afternoon I went to 'Hermitage of Braid' for my walk. Very happy to see that it was mainly just lone dog walkers walking. I had a lovely play with a 14 month old Cockerpoo but our owners just shouted at each other from a distance of a lot further than 2m.

Home and Ann had a 'WhatsApp' conversation with one of her friends who woke up this morning with a sore throat. Like Ann, she lives alone so phoned NHS101 who apparently just asked if she had a temperature or a cough. She hasn't. But her son got married today in London and she couldn't even go to the wedding because the wedding was scaled right back to just the wedding couple and two witnesses. Apparently she was going to drink a bottle of champagne with a neighbour, at the exact time the wedding was taking place, but is now self-isolating, so drank a bottle of wine by herself. Lol! That's why she's Ann's friend!!! Hopefully they'll be able to have a HUGE celebration when this is all over. Congratulations Joe & Zoe xx

Also Ann's 91 year old Auntie died last week. Nothing to do with Coronavirus but its not possible to have a normal funeral. Just another example of how things are changing during this crisis. We'll be having a 'Celebration of Life' after this is all over.

So..................... after saying we had 'nothing to report'........................ this is a bit of a long BLIP. …..............And I suspect we'll be posting long BLIPS for the next few weeks because Ann has got nothing better to do but heyho we feel like we're doing our bit in contributing to social history??!!

PS – Thought for the day – In about 4 weeks time, we're all going to know what colour peoples' real hair is?!!!! Lol, lol, lol!!!
