Out of Season?

What with all the drought and the fires and the flash flooding and the landslides and the national economy evaporating ... oh yes and the virus, the whole world seems out of kilter. My wife tells me that coreopsis flowers normally emerge in spring. Just in case it's ME that's going balmy (quite a feasible explanation) I checked the calendar. It's the start of autumn, mate. Wha?
