Sunrise

New Zealand is going into total lockdown at midnight tonight, Wednesday, after the Government declared a Nation State of Emergency at midday. A very serious move, for a very serious situation. Our rate of confirmed Covid-19 cases is rising and it’s expected that that will continue, until today’s measures take effect. We have 205 cases now, 6 in hospital, none in intensive care.
The Government is determined to bring the rate under control.

So many Kiwis overseas are unable to get back home which must be so distressing for them and their families.
It’s going to be challenging for Kiwis in New Zealand too, having to stay in their own place of abode (where they sleep tonight) for the next 4 weeks. We’ve been told that the Police will be involved if there’s non compliance.
