steamer painting on tiles

this picture in my 'steamer room' is a copy of some tiles lining the entry walls in the prestigious Greenock tenement of Sandringham Terrace on the Esplanade...the building was built in 1900 at a time when steamers in large numbers served the Clyde piers and J.Duncan of Glasgow lined the various tenement 'closes' and shops around the town with various scenes among which were steamers
the extra shows a postcard posted in Inveraray in 1906 of one of the most popular steamers of that period Lord of the Isles of 1891 (Loti to its friends) the design of which suggests it may be the steamer in the tile picture
