Today's the day ………………….. for some thoughts

A lovely, sunny day today - warm enough to eat outside and to spend most of it in the garden.  I heard my first chiffchaff today.

This very strange state that we find ourselves in just now has resulted in such very different consequences for everyone.  We are so fortunate to live where we do and really - our lives have changed very little apart from now having more time to do the things we enjoy.  For those who work in the NHS, care-workers, hard-pressed families living in high-rise accommodation in the middle of a city and a whole host of others, life must have changed beyond all recognition.

I feel bad that I can't do anything to help look after our grandchildren at this time, but that's just how it is.  It seems the most we can do is just keep ourselves out of trouble.  Again, we're lucky that, round here at least, there's plenty of food to be had - and we can both cook so that isn't a problem.

I can only hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel - for everyone - and that it is on the horizon ………………….
