Flora and fauna

I was struck by the spring-y flowering in the garden, the cheeriness of orange and yellow in the sunshine. 

I was also struck by the fuzzy brown outline of the dog rolling joyfully on the grass. 

Finding it hard to take in all the Covid-19 news, it kind of rolls into one continuous fact-stream. But today we learned that the death-toll in Spain had outstripped the total for the whole of China. 

Italy did the same thing recently, but somehow Spain seemed more shocking: perhaps because we've been more aware of the problem in Italy for longer.
